Record making British Country-Pop Music duo Ward Thomas are currently gearing up for the release of their much anticipated and long awaited third studio album ‘Restless Minds’.
The LP follows 2014 independent breakout debut ‘From Where We Stand‘ and 2016 record breaking number 1 sophomore and major label debut ‘Cartwheels‘, which made chart history when it stormed in at number 1 on The Official UK Album all genre Chart making them the first ever British Country act to do so.
And their new record ‘Restless Minds’ will be released on Friday, February 8th and focuses on many issues that are very much talked about right now. Mental health, social media, and the woman’s movement are all themes touched upon by twin sisters Catherine and Lizzy throughout the LP.
So far Ward Thomas have shared the tracks ‘Lie Like Me’, ‘I Believe In You’, ‘Never Know’, ‘No Fooling Me’, ‘No Filter’ and today they dropped the impressive ‘It’s Not Just Me’.
All these tracks have lyrics that are thought provoking and carry a warning about how easy it is to get wrapped up in the often fake online world. This is most evident in the powerful and emotive ‘No ‘Filter’.
With ‘It’s Not Just Me’ the girls focus on feelings of what it’s like to feel like any problems you are facing are unique to yourself and offer the relief in the lyrics that this is in fact not the case as everyone feels this way at some point.
It’s an inspirational track and is probably the most relatable song ever written for the Millennial generation. This age group in particular will find solace in the words of this powerful single.
The forthcoming ‘Restless Minds’ album will be supported by a huge UK tour this February, March and April. Tickets are on sale now! ‘
