On Wednesday, Billie Joe Armstrong performed a moving rendition of ‘Ordinary World’ live on Conan.
The Green Day frontman took the stage solo with an acoustic guitar, singing the song that closes the band’s twelfth studio album, Revolution Radio. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Billie Joe spoke about ‘Ordinary World’, saying, “After all of the chaos that’s on the album, whether it’s pop culture or whatever new apps we’re using, everything gets so complicated. At some point you want something simple. That’s sort of what ‘Ordinary World’ is about.”
