During their show in Seoul on Tuesday (September 12), The Chainsmokers surprised fans by bringing out K-pop boyband sensation BTS onto the stage.
Not only did the seven-piece group make an appearance at Jamsil Arena, but they also sang The Chainsmokers’ global hit ‘Closer’ with them. Needless to say, the audience loved every second of the performance and sang along word for word too.

The Chainsmokers and BTS have built up a great friendship since meeting earlier this year at the Billboard Music Awards. Their series of selfies together fuelled rumours of a collaboration, with The Chainsmokers at the time stating “see you guys this summer”.
Much to the delight of their fans, they have teamed up for a track which will appear on BTS’ forthcoming album Love Yourself: Her. ‘Best of Me’ is set to be an EDM-style song which will include the rap line members of the K-pop group – Rap Monster, J Hope, and Suga. The Chainsmokers’ Andrew Taggart was involved in the creation of the song. It will be the first time that BTS have collaborated with an American artist.
BTS recently confirmed the tracklist for their album, which is due to be released on September 18. The project has been teased by the band over the past few weeks, and we can’t wait to hear what they’ve been working on!
