On August 24th, BTS dropped their highly-anticipated music video for their new single, “IDOL,” and let’s just say that it’s completely epic. From stunning hallucinatory visuals, to fast-paced choreography, to the members’ energetic vocals, “IDOL” will have viewers captivated from start to finish.
Although the music video has only been live for a few hours, it has already amassed millions of views, and is expected to be the group’s biggest release yet, with publications predicting that “IDOL” will become the YouTube video with the most views in 24 hours.
The track comes from the group’s new album, Love Yourself: Answer, which also released today. A version of “IDOL” with Nicki Minaj has also been released through digital versions of the album, which is available on iTunes and Spotify. Minaj confirmed on Twitter that an alternative video of “IDOL” will be released in the next few days, which will feature both herself and BTS.
