Charli XCX has unveiled the music video for her latest single ‘Boys’, and it’s got us playing a game of ‘spot your favourite male celebrity’.
Directed by Charli herself with Sarah McColgan, the visual features more than 60 ‘Boys’, all in some very cute scenarios. Joe Jonas eating stacks of pancakes? Check. Charlie Puth washing a car? Check. Tinie Tempah cuddling a dog? Check. We’re pretty certain that Charli’s been snooping on our daydreams, but hey, we’re not complaining.
Other featured stars include The Vamps’ Tristan Evans and Connor Ball, Tom Daley, will.i.am, Cameron Dallas, Connor Franta, Brendon Urie, Bastille’s Dan Smith, MiC LOWRY, Stormzy, Caspar Lee, J Park and many more.
Charli herself makes a very low key appearance during the video, donning a felt pen moustache. However, the focus is truly on all of these famous boys.
Check out the official video for yourself below.
Speaking to Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac, Charli said that the guys were doing all the things girls usually have to do in a music video, essentially flipping the stereotype. The concept came to Charli whilst listening to ‘Boys’ in the car, where she was thinking about Joe Jonas being sexy whilst eating food. The rest, as they say, is history, and Charli contacted the many famous men she’s worked with or met in the past who were “all really down” to take part.
