Jeffrey Miller is the rising teenage sensation from Boston who has gained fans all over the world since he started posting clips of himself singing on Vine. His videos have since racked up more than 3 million views.
Last year iHeart Radio named him as their “new favourite” artist, while Buzzfeed praised Miller’s vocals saying he “has the most beautiful voice”, while the Boston globe called him a “budding star”.
And yesterday his latest music video for brand new single ‘Whatever It Takes‘ premiered over on Billboard.
The black and white clip which eventually turns to colour sees the 16-year-old sitting at the piano in an otherwise empty room while pouring his heart out through the poignant lyrics. You can watch the music video here:
‘Whatever It Takes’ is the latest single to be taken from Jeffrey Miller’s hit debut EP ‘Rise‘ which was released back in October of last year.
Speaking to Billboard via an email about the single, Jeffrey Miller says: ‘Whatever It Takes’ is definitely one of his more personal records. Its meaning can be interpreted in a lot of different ways, and most people see it as a love song — and it sort of is. Personally, I was thinking more about my career and my love for music. I feel so lucky to be where I am, doing what I love and to have the fans that I do, so I will absolutely do whatever it takes to continue to chase my dreams of making & sharing my music with everybody. I also love how the music video turned out because it’s simple. It really allows for the song and lyrics to take focus and that was important to me.”
