On 22nd March at the world famous The SSE Arena in Wembley, London the room will be filled with 12,000 young people to celebrate WE Day. The initial lineup of who will be attending and performing has been announced and can be seen below.
The line-up includes inspirational speakers, those who have played large roles in the movement alongside some of everyone’s favourite live performers. Tickets can’t be purchased, instead, are gained by taking a local and global action.
WE Day is a collection of events across the world which brings together people who are making changes on a local and global scale which affect both themselves and others around them. The idea of partaking in the movement to change communities worldwide with there being a huge day of celebration and inspiring surrounded by those who have done the same is one we absolutely love. Especially as WE co-founders and activists Craig and Marc Kielburger will be on hand to encourage the audience to continue and spread their passion for change.
“There is a lot of negativity in the world today. Whether at school, on social media, or in the news — it’s easy to get weighed down by it all, and easy to forget one’s true self. But when people from all walks of life come together to achieve a common goal, real strength in unity can happen, and change can have its place.” – Kate Winslet (Attendee at WE Day UK
The large scale global movement has seen over £63.9m raised to date for 2500 local and global organisations supported by 2.4 million young people volunteering their time, money and support for deserving causes. WE Day 2017 looks set to be bigger than ever to celebrate another year of hard work by thousands of people worldwide.
But never fear if you haven’t got a ticket to the event, it’ll stream at 9.45am GMT on 22nd March via WE.org/watchweday.
