Three consecutive platinum albums, three consecutive top 15 albums on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, chart record breakers, yet Little Mix haven’t done a full on tour in North America?
This is problematic indeed.
While the girl group have announced touring all over England, Scotland and Ireland, they’ve also added Australia, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore! But we defintely believe Little Mix are perfectly capable of touring the U.S. and Canada, as well as South America.
There hasn’t been any other girl group this decade to score so many platinum albums (3 to be exact) AND also achieve 3 U.K. number ones! What’s even more mind boggling is how small their promotional marketing is in the states.
Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock have SO MUCH potential to be one of the biggest girl bands in history but the only way to pull through with this achievement is with more positive pushes from their record label.
Now, we’re not saying they aren’t already a big girl band. They’ve sold over 12 million records in just over 4 years, and that’s JUST with minimal worldwide promotion. Imagine a full on Little Mix worldwide promotional takeover? These girls could literally take the world by storm in EVERY country.
It’s obvious girl bands have it a tad harder in the big old music industry due to negative perceptions and assumptions but if people realize and hear how tight Little Mix’s harmonies are – they will fall in love.
Sure not everyone might like their musical style, but they’ll be respected more and have more credibility than they already have.
In addition, they’ve been nominated for 2 prestigious BRIT awards showing that with full on support, ANYTHING is possible. Not only did ‘Black Magic’ become one of the best selling singles of 2015 in the U.K., it is now one of the biggest selling girl group singles beating the likes of Girls Aloud (‘Sound of the Underground), TLC (‘No Scrubs’), PCD (Don’t Cha’) and the Spice Girls (‘Mama’/’Who Do You Think You Are & Viva Forever).
The girls are exploding with success in the U.K., but their outer successes should defintely be taken with great notice. It’s been over 15 years since the last big U.K. girl group became a huge phenomenon worldwide, and we’re certain Little Mix will follow those steps into deserved stardom.
They DESERVE to tour North America. They DESERVE to tour South America. They deserve MORE.
We’re right behind you girls!
