With Glory Days still bobbing up and down the UK Albums Charts and singles Shout Out to My Ex, Touch, No More Sad Songs and Power still racking up radio play, it’s fair to say that Little Mix are at the top of their game right now.
In fact, their Glory Days album helped them break X Factor records – they’re the first ever winners to spawn four Top 10 albums, which is music to the ears of every little Mixer.
But will Jesy, Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie be releasing a new album this year? New reports suggest that they could be, allowing them to close off their five-album contract with Syco while riding on the waves of their chart-topping success.
The girls are currently on their Summer Shout Out world tour, stopping by the UK, Australia and Europe, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t have time to put together a new album.
In fact, singer-songwriter, Raye, who’s previously worked with the likes of Rihanna and Rita Ora, has confirmed that she’s had studio time with Little Mix, adding that she’s currently “writing a lot” for the group. If the girls really were to release a new album later in the year, surely now would be the time for them to visit the studio to collaborate with new artists?
It remains to be seen whether we will be getting any new music from the girl group this year – but it seems like November would be the perfect opportunity for them to drop their next single and album.
With a performance on The X Factor and their Glory Days Tour in full swing, they’d be bound for another number one single and a chance to prolong their status as reining queens of British pop.
