The winners of the third NYC Web Fest, which took place between 10 – 12 November 2016, have been announced.

Leading the nominations was India’s first same-sex web series “The Other Love Story”, which won one award out of the six nominations; as well as musical comedy “Merce”, which didn’t win any regardless of its own six nominations. Check out the full list of nominations here.

Held at the PIT Loft, the festival showed a total of 96 titles. The judges for the festival included “Major Crimes” star Tony Denison, MuchMusic’s April Day, TDot TV’s Justin Edmead, Big Vision Empty Wallet’s Alex Cirillo & Dani Faith Leonard, filmmaker Xavier Burgin, and BET actor Austen Jaye.

The festival was created by Lauren Atkins, who realised there were no festivals showcasing digital series in New York. Founded in 2014, it’s now in its third year expanding more and more. The slogan of the festival is: “The greatest city in the world celebrates the web”.
