The X Factor returned to our TV screens with a bang last night for the twelfth series.

The new series has had a serious shake up with new judges, new presenters, new producer and new format changes.

Out are Louis Walsh and Mel B and in are Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw who now sit alongside Simon Cowell and new executive producer Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.

The new judging line up is fun and entertaining and they all seem to get on brilliantly.

Lovable Dermot O’Leary no longer presents instead the show is now lead by Olly Murs and Caroline Flack.

And new exciting format changes have been brought in by Cheryl as the new producer, the changes include, letting the public choose the judges categories via a Twitter vote and live judges houses.

Last night the show exploded onto our screens with some amazing talent, including a “male Cheryl”, Tom Davies who sang an energetic version of the Justin Bieber hit ‘As Long As You Love Me’.

Louisa Johnson took the roof of with her rendition of Michael Jackson’s ‘Who’s Loving You’.

And the best of the night were the Philippines  girl band 4th Power, who performed a note perfect version of the Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj’s hit, ‘Bang Bang’

You can relive the best performances from last night here:

The X Factor continues on ITV 1 tonight at 8pm.
