X Factor 2013’s winner, Sam Bailey, is due to drop a new single, Sing My Heart Out, on August 5th.

Having been mentored by Sharon Osbourne, Sam went on to win XFactor UK with a cover of Demi Lovato’s Skyscraper, which stormed the charts to claim Christmas number 1.

In March 2014, Bailey released her first album under Simon Cowell’s label, Syco. Despite being an album of cover songs, Sam’s popularity was evident as that too went to number 1. “The Power Of Love” included duets with both Nicole Scherzinger and Michael Bolton, helping boost the album to become the fastest-selling-female-debut-album of all time just before Mother’s Day.

Unfortunately, in February 2015, Sam parted ways with music label Syco. She has since completed her sell-out “Power Of Love” tour, written an autobiography and played “Fairy Bowbells” in pantomime, ‘Dick Whittington’. This year, she has been touring the UK with hit musical “Chicago” as prison warden “Mama Morton” with soap opera stars Haley Tammadon and John Partridge.

In order to bring us her new album, due 16th September, the powerhouse vocalist has been working with iconic music composer, Steve Dorff in LA and A1 band member, Ben Adams in London.

Talking to Leicester Mercury the 39 year old said:

“For me, singing is a release and a way of venting, and it’s how I get my emotions out. This is my way of explaining to listeners my ambition to give my children the best start in life. I’m really looking forward to everyone hearing the single, as it’s in honour of the family that stood by my side throughout the whole process, and who I have done it all for.”

Sam has also released the dates for her “Sing My Heart Out” 2017 UK tour. Her tour starts in Northampton early March and concludes in Wrexham on May 25th, although more dates are to be added. Ticket prices start from £29.50 – you can book to see Sam Bailey live here.

Bailey’s first live performance of the new single will be aired on Loose Women on its release day, August 5th.
