X Factor 2017 runner-up Grace Davies has confirmed that she has been signed by Simon Cowell’s record label, SYCO.
The news broke through The Sun, however, Grace later took to Twitter to share the news herself. Tweeting her joy, she said: “So excited to FINALLY officially announce that I have been signed by @syco – my dream. So excited for what is to come and I’m working chuffing hard on that album.”
Grace joins SYCO’s huge roster of acts including Camila Cabello, Little Mix, James Arthur. She will also be signed alsongside Rak-Su, who pipped her to the post on The X Factor 2017. They’ve already enjoyed huge success, with their debut single ‘Dimelo’ charting at number 2, and it looks likely that Grace will follow in their footsteps.
The X Factor 2017 saw both acts predominantly perform original material rather than covers. This is one of the reasons why they were so well liked by the public, and it was no surprise that both acts were the final two remaining contestants. During her time on the show, Grace wowed with with her heartfelt offerings and we cannot wait to hear more when she releases her debut album.
Grace will be joining Rak-Su for The X Factor tour which kicks off in February. They will be joined by fellow contestants Lloyd Macey, The Cutkelvins, Matt Linnen, Kevin Davy White and Sean & Conor Price.
