YouTube sensation Kurt Hugo Schneider goes viral with Allegra collaboration

YouTube legend Kurt Hugo Schneider (with an impressive half a million Instagram followers) has just reached over 230k views on his latest video, which came out just under 24 hours ago. The difference between this video and his previous efforts is none other than the sultry tones and all-round talent of up and coming superstar Allegra.

This latest video is the last in a line of Remaking songs Without Hearing – and this latest version of ‘Lover’ by Taylor Swift is a fun and surprisingly successful addition. Schneider navigates the lyrics and chords with ease, and probably would have replicated the song in its entirety had he thought to compose in ¾.

It’s undeniable that Allegra’s appearance has impacted on the success of this video. Her vocals have a stellar quality which she has also begun to hone in her own music. Her debut single ‘All About Us’ has already surpassed 80k views and the track is currently climbing the Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs Chart showing no signs of slowing down.

‘All About Us’ was produced by none other than the creator of the Spice Girls, Chris Herbert. Allegra has since amassed fans amongst highly respected UK music stable Audiofreaks, and has already received editorial features in a whole host of online publications, including Essentially Pop, Just Listen to This and Talk About Pop Music, to name but a few.

The success of Schneider’s video has also begun to impact on Allegra’s own channel. There are many comments on the ‘All About Us’ video which clearly come from Schneider’s fans, unsurprisingly won over by her beautiful rendition of ‘Lover’. It appears this bright new talent is one we should be keeping an eye on.
