Jacksepticeye is an Irish gaming YouTuber, who joined YouTube on the 24th February 2007. His first video was a Solid Snake impression, uploaded in November 2012. Shortly after, he started producing Let’s Play videos of Far Cry 3 and Dark Souls. As well as gaming videos, he regularly uploads vlogs and a series of videos called “Reading Your Comments“. Although “Jack” isn’t his real name, he’s stated in a previous video that his mother used to call him Jack when he was younger and it caught on. He started getting called “Jacksepticeye” by his friends after his eye got cut in an accident by a guy wearing glasses while playing soccer and the wound bled for quite a while then become infected. The fictional avatar that represents his channel, Sam, is a green infected “septic eye” with a tail. In May 2016, his channel passed the 10 million subscribers mark.
