As you know, CelebMix wants to introduce the vast world of YouTube to our readers. Starting with the Bawse, Lilly Singh; followed up by Alx James, we’ve been crowning our favourite YouTubers of the Week. This week, we pass the title to Chester See.
Chester did not start his career on YouTube. From 2006 to 2009, Chester was the host of Disney 365, which was an entertainment news program. It was while he was hosting that he decided to start his YouTube channel. In 2007, he started posting short films, comedy sketches and music covers.
Chester eventually decided to also start releasing original music on his channel. In 2013, he produced and starred in an NBC online-only musical comedy, Side Effects. Side Effects can be found on AwesomenessTV’s YouTube channel.
Chester has also had some acting roles on screen and on Broadway. From October 2014 to January 2015, he played Stacee Jax in Rock of Ages on Broadway. He has also starred in Camp Takota with fellow YouTubers Grace Helbig, Mamrie Hart and Hannah Hart. He starred in Bob Thunder: Internet Assassin. Chester will also star in upcoming movie, Dirty Thirty.
Chester currently has over 1.6 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. He has also sold over 500,000 original and cover songs on iTunes.
Why you should watch Chester’s videos?
Besides being good at what he does, Chester takes the time to make sure he is putting out great content, not to say that other YouTubers don’t as well. Currently, Chester has been working on the music video to his cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine” for three weeks.
Chester has also released a trivia app, Trivy. He worked with Rhett and Link to release the app. It has movie and television trivia. It also has YouTuber trivia packs. The packs include Chester, Rhett and Link, Grace Helbig, Lilly Singh and many others. You can download the app here for iOS. It is also available for Andriod users here.

1. Side Effects
Although this is a series and not just a video, it is worth mentioning. The whole series lasts two hours. If you love musicals, this is definitely something you should check out.
2. What not to say when crossing the Border
This is a comedy sketch about crossing the border into Canada. It also stars fellow YouTubers D-Trix, Victor King and Jess Adams. It pokes fun on how stressful it can be.
3. Cover of Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain”
Although it is not Chester’s most popular cover, with 3.4 million views, his rendition of Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain” is one of his best. It also stars D-Trix dancing along.
4. Original Song: “God Damn You’re Beautiful”
“God Damn You’re Beautiful” has over 11 million views. As a result, that makes it the most popular of Chester’s original songs. It is also one of the first original songs he released.
5. Original Song: “Whistle While I Work it”
This is a fun video starring fellow YouTuber Toby Tuner. It also stars actor/comedian Wayne Brady. You can’t help but smile when watching this video.
