YUNGBLUD has unveiled the music video for his track ‘Die a Little’, which is taken from the soundtrack to series three of 13 Reasons Why.

Filmed in Bulgaria, the dark visual sees the artist become possessed as he battles his internal demons. The visual was directed by award-winning filmmaker Andrew Sandler, who also recently directed YUNGBLUD’s powerful video for ‘hope for the underrated youth’. It’s another impactful visual from YUNGBLUD which continues to share an important message, this time regarding mental health.

Speaking about the track and its accompanying visual, YUNGBLUD said: “This song is about realising and accepting the dark part of your mind that is trying to get out. People who don’t understand what you are going through will try to interfere and generalise what you’re feeling. That can end up with them getting as hurt as you. This video is a call out to take mental health seriously.”

Check out the music video below.

YUNGBLUD recently released his new six-track EP, the underrated youth. The EP includes the previously released ‘hope for the underrated youth’, ‘Parents’, and ‘Original Me’ featuring Dan Reynolds from Imagine Dragons.

In a recent interview with Fault Magazine, YUNGBLUD, who is also this issue’s cover star, opened up about some of the songs on the EP. Speaking about the opening track ‘braindead’, he explained: “In this world, you’re surrounded by unjustified hate and hateful ideologies, and the song is a message the people above me, saying that I’d rather be brain dead than conform to your hateful ways.

“People will put you down in this world because of their insecurities and inability to see the wonder of your individuality. I don’t want my listeners to be put off from their individuality, I want them to embrace their differences.”
