UK rapper Yungen has teamed up with Jess Glynne for his second official single, ‘Mind On It’.
Produced by Yungen’s long-term collaborator ADP, ‘Mind On It’ is filled with infectious summer vibes, making us yearn for sunshine and good times. The rapper delivers some fresh verses whilst Jess hits home the chorus with her distinct vocals.
Speaking about the collaboration, Yungen said: “ADP let me know he was working on a sick idea for me, so I went in the studio late that night and he’d already started the beat. I laid my verses really quick, which is always a good sign! We didn’t have the hook on it for ages because we knew it sounded potentially like the next single and we wanted it to be perfect. Then I finally got in with Jess and she absolutely nailed it straight away!”

‘Mind On It’ follows on from Yungen’s breakthrough hit ‘Bestie’ featuring Yxng Bane, which caused him to shot to stardom last year. The track has since been streamed over 43 million times on Spotify. Over the past six months, he has enjoyed incredible success, from being nominated for a MOBO to performing at the O2 Arena for Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball.
As for Jess, ‘Mind On It’ is her second collab in recent months. ‘These Days’, which features Rudimental, Macklemore and Dan Caplen, has been storming the charts and has spent six weeks at number two in the UK charts. This week, the track was less than 1000 combined sales away from snatching the top spot from Drake’s ‘God’s Plan’.
