Zara Larsson, the Swedish pop sensation behind huge hits such as ‘Lush Life’ and ‘I Would Like’, has teamed up with H&M for a fashion collaboration.

The capsule collection, entitled Zara Larsson >< H&M, is inspired by the starlet’s unique style. From edgy streetwear pieces to clothing with strong graphics and feminist messages, the collection represents Zara’s style and personality.

Dubbed as ‘fierce and feminine’, not only is the collection inspired by Zara’s look, but she was also a part of the entire design process. For example, a lot of the collection is pink as it’s one of her favourite colours, but “it’s feminine, powerful and everyone looks good in it,” according to her.

Items include an oversized hoodie, denim jacket, t-shirt dress, body-con shorts and tops, with pink, black and silver being the predominant colours. The collection will be available online from May 18, and globally in selected stores.

Speaking about the collection, Zara said: I am really excited to finally share my collection with H&M. I have had so much fun working with them to design pieces and create a campaign that reflects my personality. I can’t wait to see how girls everywhere wear the pieces to add to their own personal style.”

Pernilla Wohlfahrt, Head of Design and Creative Director at H&M added: “Zara is such an inspiration to fashion and music lovers all around the world. Her energy is so positive and sincere, which together with her was easy to translate into the designs. We also looked a lot at what Zara wears on and off the stage, making sure to incorporate her show-meets-street style.”

As Zara is about to slay the fashion scene with her own collection, she could also get her first UK number one single on Friday. ‘Symphony’, her collaboration with Clean Bandit, is currently 4000 combined sales ahead of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’, meaning that they’re on course to knock him off the top spot.

Zara and Clean Bandit recently performed ‘Symphony’ on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Check it out below.
