Zayn Malik Released Pillowtalk and We’re Not Sure We Survived It

Is anyone else functioning after hearing Zayn Malik’s first solo song Pillowtalk – because we certainly are not!  Seriously, it’s been on repeat for an hour now and we already know every word to the song and the parts of the song Zayn’s voice gets the most raspy.  We’re obsessed!

So we’ll piss off the neighbors
In the place that feels the tears
The place to lose your fears
Yeah, reckless behavior
A place that is so pure, so dirty and raw
Be in the bed all day, bed all day, bed all day
Fucking you, and fighting on
It’s our paradise and it’s our war zone

So when we saw the cover art for Pillowtalk we were obviously expecting something sexy and mature, what we got surpassed that by a long shot.  When asked about the song, Zayn had this to say:

“I think I’m pretty black and white about what it’s about. Everybody has sex, and it’s something people wanna hear about. It’s part of everybody’s life, a very BIG part of life! And you don’t wanna sweep it under the carpet. It has to be talked about”.

Zayn certainly delivered – the song seems to take you through a journey through exactly what he intended – a night of passion and he is descriptive in how it’s not just physical for him, it’s emotional and he wants to feel it encompass both him and his partner.  “The place that feels the tears, the place to lose your fears”.  Zayn truly channeled his desires into this song – something he said he was never able to do before – and completely let loose.  If this is just a preview of what’s to come, we are already anticipating this to be one of the best albums of the year.  He’s so talented.

And that was just the song!  Not long after we got Pillowtalk – we got the video for the tune, and it while it wasn’t exactly what we were expecting, it somehow worked with the song perfectly!  There are a lot of special effects and some close ups of his absolutely perfect face, and his good friend Gigi is a big part of the video too!

Check out Pillowtalk and tweet us at @CelebMix to let us know you thought!  While we have to admit, we were a little emotional seeing Zayn on his own, it’s 100% clear that this is what he’s been waiting on, and him happy in his element is enough for us.
