Following the release of “Feel Good Song” and “Just Like That”, Vardaan Arora is back again with another new single, “Poison”, and we have your first listen!
Although he now lives in New York, he was born in New Delhi where he was exposed to different genres of music and sounds. Vardaan Arora started off recording covers in college before writing and releasing his own music today, and “Feel Good Song” was named by Buzzfeed as one of the most underrated pop songs of 2016.
For “Poison”, he wanted to try something new, working with a different team and a new sound.
“Lyrically, the song is about something or someone toxic in your life that you keep around even though you know it’s terrible for you. This could be a person, a habit, or a relationship – anything, really.”
“Poison” is definitely intoxicating for listeners. It’s a fresh, dynamic dance track with a catchy beat that we can definitely hear being on repeat during the summer months. Despite the excitement, it brings that has us hooked from start to finish, it’s also a song with meaningful lyrics and a story many can relate to.
“To me, ‘Poison’ is about a toxic aspect of your life that you keep around knowing very well that it’s bad for you. Going back to something you said you’ll never go back to is a relatable concept. Whether it’s a relationship, a friend, or just a bad habit – everyone has, or at least has had, their own “Poison.”
