UK hitmaker Jonas Blue is back with a brand new single, and it’s guaranteed to be another huge track.
Teaming up with YouTube sensation William Singe, ‘Mama’ is going to be the anthem for everyone’s fun-filled summer. Co-written by Jonas and fellow seasoned hit makers Ed Drewett (Little Mix, Olly Murs, One Direction) and Sam Romans (Disclosure, Mary J Blige, Alicia Keys), ‘Mama’ has an insanely catchy hook which is set alight by William’s smooth vocals.
Speaking about the song, Jonas said: “‘Mama’ is a song about that period of your life when you’re young and carefree, without stress, bills and problems and all you care about is having a good time with your friends every day and night!”
The release of ‘Mama’ coincides with the Jonas’ debut European tour. Kicking off the tour in Cologne yesterday, Jonas will visit Amsterdam tonight, before heading to Paris on Saturday. The tour will wrap up with a headline show at London’s Heaven on Wednesday (May 10). Remaining tickets are available here.
Jonas Blue made his breakthrough last year with his phenomenal debut single ‘Fast Car’. It became 2016’s biggest selling single globally from a British debut artist and earned him two BRIT nominations in the process. Follow up singles ‘Perfect Strangers’ featuring JP Cooper and ‘By Your Side’ featuring Raye have both had incredible success too, whilst also bringing the featured artists even more exposure. 2017 looks just as promising, as Jonas has just been announced as the next VEVO LIFT artist of the year, following in the footsteps of Sam Smith, Years & Years and Rag N Bone Man.
William Singe is also one to watch, having become one of YouTube’s most sought after musicians. Across Facebook and YouTube, William’s covers and video uploads have accumulated over a billion views. In the past year alone, the Australian artist has sold out numerous tours, including a tour with fellow YouTuber Alex Aiono, selling over 150,000 tickets in total. In February, he released his debut single ‘Rush’ to critical acclaim, and is expected to continue his rise throughout this year.
With both stars heading for the top, it’s a no brainer for us that ‘Mama’ is going to be a monster hit across the world for Jonas Blue and William Singe.
