During her dazzling headline set at this year’s Coachella Festival, Lady Gaga surprised her Little Monsters across the world by debuting a brand new track.

‘The Cure’ sees Gaga return to her pop roots, marking a new musical era for the star which strays away from the country sound which inspired a lot of her latest album Joanne. A slick synth-pop offering with a sprinkling of RnB, Gaga has delivered our new favourite track. The chorus is anthemic, and we guarantee it’ll be stuck in your head after just one listen.

    “If I can’t find the cure, I’ll
I’ll fix you with my love
No matter what you know, I’ll
I’ll fix you with my love
And if you say you’re okay
    I’m gonna heal you anyway
    Promise I’ll always be there
Promise I’ll be the cure (be the cure)”

Her longtime choreographer and visual director Richy Jackson had promised ‘huge surprises’ during Gaga’s set, and ‘The Cure’ was certainly one of them. As she left the stage, Gaga announced that ‘The Cure’ would later be available on iTunes ‘tonight’, and true to her word, the song is now available to stream and download.

Aside from dropping a new track, Lady Gaga pleased the Coachella audience, and fans globally who were watching an official live stream, by performing a set packed with songs spanning the entire length of her career. From classic hits ‘Just Dance’ and ‘Poker Face’ to lesser-performed songs ‘Scheiße’ and ‘Teeth’, Gaga delivered something for everyone.
