5 After Midnight are giving fans another taste of what they can expect from their forthcoming EP The Sauce, as they’ve released a new track called ‘Talk’.
Sampling Tevin Campbell’s 1993 hit ‘Can We Talk’, 5 After Midnight have delivered a slick piece of dance-RnB. The track is as high energy as ever, with Kieran, Nathan and Jordan continuing to showcase their cheeky personality.
Speaking to Metro, Kieran said: “‘Talk’ is all about trying to get that girls attention and find out who she is. For us we paid homage to the Tevin Campbell original song with this modern twist. It has party and dance floor vibes all over it with the 90s throwback and we all fell in love with the record when we had finished.”
The trio also took to Twitter to express how Tevin’s original classic inspired their new track.
Ready or not… #TALK is dropping this Friday! Big love to @tevincampbelll ?? pic.twitter.com/WRJV0uxqmA

‘Talk’ follows on from ‘Taste’, which also forms part of their forthcoming EP, The Sauce. After finishing in third place on last year’s The X Factor, 5 After Midnight have been busy honing their sound. The trio unveiled their debut single ‘Up In Here’ earlier this year.
So far, 5 After Midnight have delivered bop after bop, channeling a fun and catchy vibe. We’re excited to hear how the trio will continue to experiment with their sound with the remaining tracks from The Sauce.
‘Talk’ is available now.
