As we all know, 5 Seconds Of Summer have just released their incredible second album Sounds Good Feels Good, and if you haven’t heard it yet, these are the 5 songs you MUST listen to.

    1. Permanent Vacation-  The band debuted this song on their Rock Out With Your Socks Out Tour, and if the live version of this track wasn’t enough to make it into one of the best songs ever released by the band, the studio version definitely ensured that. The chants and hand claps helped craft this song into one that is destined to be sung in a sold out arena. It is by far one of the catchiest on the record

    2. Catch Fire – One of the more poppy and relaxed tracks on the record, but certainly not to be overshadowed. Written with All Time Low front man Alex Gaskarth, the song references trying to reconnect with a lover. The track may not be one that you automatically adore, but after a few listens it becomes a favourite, and would be incredible live.

       3. Castaway – If this song doesn’t scream out “OPENING SONG ON TOUR” then I don’t know what does. The echoes at the start of the track build up to the heavy chorus and chants of “oh oh oh” throughout the song make it an automatic stand out on the album. It’s the perfect pop punk track for the band and certainly shows the growth between the debut and sophomore albums.

    4. Broken Home – The band had hyped the album up to feature more meaningful songs, and Broken Home shows this. Writing about a broken family and the impact that it has on everyone involved certainly pulls on the heartstrings and captures many of the feelings that people who come from these households will have felt. (Many best not to be performed live, you don’t want to flood the arenas do you?)

    5. Airplanes – This track is begging to be released as a single. The uptempo song has undoubtedly the ability to be a hit with the public. With lyrics that were surely written to be shouted from an open top car being driven through Route 66, it is the epitome of the perfect road trip song.
