This week marks CelebMix’s fifth birthday so we’ve decided to celebrate by dedicating articles to some of our favourite celebrities. This one is all about Lewis Capaldi and his music videos!
Lewis is the Scottish sensation who has taken the world by storm with his sensational music over the past year or so. Reaching stratospheric new heights, his music has touched the hearts of many and that’s partly to do with the incredible visuals he’s also released. We’ve picked five of our favourites to share with you!
‘Grace’
Capturing Lewis’ humour wonderfully, the music video for ‘Grace’ sees the Scottish singer-songwriter performing at a strip club. Yep, this video features Lewis showing off all of his best Big Fat Sexy Jungle dance moves much to the delight of the audience. This music video is just Lewis all over, and we can’t get enough of it.
‘Someone You Loved’
Starring Lewis’ very distant relative, Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi, the first music video for ‘Someone You Loved’ is an emotional and tear-jerking offering. Depicting a story between two families who have been brought together through organ donation, this moving visual is heartbreaking and has the ability to move even the stone-hearted amongst us to tears. It also highlights the importance of organ donation as well as how life changing donating an organ can be.
‘Rush’
The video for ‘Rush’ featuring Jessie Reyez is a simple yet effective affair which takes place in a diner. With dimly lit coloured lights, the pair perform separately before Jessie joins Lewis at his booth. Whilst Jessie ultimately walks away from the situation, the pair put on an incredibly emotive performance.
‘Bruises’
There is an official music video for ‘Bruises’ but we can’t help but love this celebrity singalong compilation which Lewis put together. This vertical video features Lewis singing along to the track, whilst joined by a whole host of his celebrity friends. These include Niall Horan, Lauv, Rita Ora, Camila Cabello, Nina Nesbitt, Martin Garrix, Ryan Tedder, Julia Michaels, Jess Glynne, Danny Jones HRVY, YUNGBLUD, and more.
‘Before You Go’
Whilst we know Lewis for being a hilarious Scotman, he also delivers heartbreaking emotion so incredibly well. The video for ‘Before You Go’, which Lewis described as his most personal tune to date, is suitable tear-jerking and will resonate with anyone who’s lost someone unexpectedly.
