Today (March 11th) is Mother’s Day in the UK and to celebrate we have put together a perfect playlist of five songs to celebrate the most important woman in your life on this special day.

1: Shania Twain – She’s Not Just A Pretty Face

‘She’s Not Just A Pretty Face’ is the perfect song to show your mother how much you love and respect her and appreciate everything she does for you on a daily basis. It has strong, empowering lyrics and has a message of true female empowerment.

2: Ward Thomas – Who We Are

This stunning country ballad from Ward Thomas is all about realising how much your mother has influenced your life without you even realising it. It’s the ideal song for Mother’s Day as it was written by Catherine and Lizzy for their own mother, Mandy.

    3: Lady Antebellum – Army

This touching song from Lady Antebellum is all about celebrating the strength of the main woman in your life. The lyrics are poignant and inspiring and are all about how this special lady’s strength allows you to be able to be strong your self through her selflessness.

4: Joe McElderry – I look To You

This beautiful ballad is ideal for a special day like today as it is all about how a mother is always there for you whenever you need her and how you always look to her for strength and support in times of need.

    5: Nashville Cast – Sanctuary

The Nashville cast sang this track in the series after the character Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) sadly passed away. In the drama it was performed by Rayna’s husband, Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten), and daughters Maddie and Daphne Conrad (Lennon and Maisy Stella). It’s all about being there for each other in times of need.
