Online phenomenon Abby Roberts is back with her latest single, ‘bandaid’, taken from her forthcoming EP.
Written by Abby along with Noah Terefe, the heartfelt anthem was penned as a comfort for anyone struggling with their mental health. The track itself was inspired by a friend of Abby’s and will no doubt resonate with her fans and listeners across the globe.
Speaking about the track, Abby said: “‘bandaid’ is a really special song to me, I wrote it for one of my best friends who was really struggling with her mental health and I felt awful because Ii couldn’t always be there in person to support her in person, so I made ‘bandaid’ as a way to let her know iI am always thinking of her and she always has me with her in some small way. Ii hope anyone listening to this song who may also be struggling with their mental health can feel the same comfort that you’re not alone and you are loved.”
The track comes accompanied by an official music video which was directed by Mr Anderson in London. The visual features an intimate performance from Abby and her band – check it out below.
‘bandaid’ is the latest offering from internet sensation Abby and follows on from ‘Pink Champagne’ and her debut single ‘Paramaniac’, which has been streamed over 600,000 times on Spotify alone. The artist is best known for her beauty content on YouTube and TikTok, however, further explored her creativity this year with the release of her own original music.
This summer, Abby will be performing at a number of flagship festivals including Brighton’s Great Escape Festival, Community Festival and Reading & Leeds. Plus, she will be supporting Halsey across a string of shows on their ‘Love and Power’ tour in North America. If that wasn’t enough, she’ll also be heading out on a five-date UK tour in April and May!
