Christopher Michael Pratt was born in Minnesota and was raised in Washington. He dropped out of community college halfway through and got a job as discount ticket salesman. He ended up homeless in Hawaii, sleeping in a van and a tent on the beach.
At the age of 19, Chris was waiting tables when he was discovered by actress and director Raw Dawn Chong. She cast him in her own directorial debut, Cursed Part 3. His first regular television debut was as Harold Brighton Abbott on the series Everwood.
In 2009, Chris Pratt started his role as Andy Dwyer in the comedy series Parks and Recreation. He was supposedly a temporary character but the producers liked Pratt so much they asked him to be a series regular.
Chris Pratt was convinced to take the role as Star-Lord/Peter Quill by James Gunn who directed Guardians of the Galaxy.
Since then Chris has done a voice over for a character in The Lego Movie and appeared in Jurassic World as Owen Grady – a worker at the attraction.

Expect to catch him in future Marvel films; he has recently been spotted on set filming for Avengers: Infinity War and for his role as Owen Grady in Jurassic World 2 – both set to be released in 2018.
