Adele is reportedly preparing to release her new album later this year.
According to sources at PEOPLE Magazine, the singer is “definitely getting ready both mentally and physically to promote new music,” and that a new album “happen later this year”.
The Rolling in The Deep singer announced her separation from partner Simon Konecki earlier in the year, and is expected to reveal all in a new LP, the first since 2015’s 25, which broke records around the world.
As we’ve seen in the past, some of Adele’s greatest work has come out of her heartbreak, and we’re hoping that she’s channeled her pain into new music and that she’s fighting fit once again.
Don’t be expecting her new album to be called 28 or 29, though – the singer confirmed to James Corden that her next album will have a different name.
“This is the last album after my age,” she said during a Carpool Karaoke interview in 2015.
“I believe in trilogies, yeah. The next one is just gonna be Adele.”

Showbiz 411 has suggested that Adele’s optimum album date would be November 8th or 15th during Thanksgiving, which would hint to the lead single being dropped as soon as next month.
That would follow the same pattern as 25, with lead single Hello being released in October.
