Singer-songwriter AJ Mitchell has unveiled the music video for ‘Slow Dance’, his epic collaboration with fellow rising star Ava Max.
Directed by Miles & AJ, the visual takes us to church (quite literally) and has a gothic Romeo and Juliet vibe to it. Whilst we sadly don’t see any actual slow dancing from the pair, the video sees AJ and Ava get acquainted in a pool, sparking some great chemistry.

Since its release, ‘Slow Dance’ has amassed over 5.5 million streams on Spotify. It’s also the title track from AJ’s new EP, which was released last month. The four-track EP also includes ‘Out My Mind’, ‘Move On’, and ‘Talk So Much’.
2019 has been a stellar year for AJ, amassing over 40 million streams since January thanks to a string of huge singles including ‘All My Friends’ and ‘After Hours’ featuring Nina Nesbitt. The artist has also received support from a number of high profile tastemakers, most notably being named as one of Vevo’s LIFT acts of 2019.
Similarly, Ava has continued to rise through the ranks this year, with releases including ‘So Am I’, ‘Blood, Sweat & Tears’, ‘Freaking Me Out’, and ‘Torn’. She was also nominated for Best New Artist at the MTV VMAs 2019.
