Taking it right back to the start, Alan Walker is totally not messing about this year, with the release of his new single “Dreamer”. The track is inspired by his breakthrough hits, “Faded”, “Sing Me To Sleep”, and “Alone” which were all global successes. It’s all down to his fans as he asked them on a Twitter poll if he should take it back to the beginning and 90% of them said “yes”. On top of that, he added the pressure to himself by challenging himself to produce the track with a 100-hour deadline, and “Dreamer” is the result. This follows his remix of R3HAB & A Touch of Class’ track “Around The World (La La La)“.
Alan Walker has been one of the top DJs and producers in the world for a number of years, going global when he launched onto the scene with his absolute smash of a single, in late 2015, “Faded”. The song achieved worldwide success, hitting number one in over 15 countries, and managing to get into the top 20 charts in over 30 countries. The track has gone on to achieve 1.7 billion Spotify streams, with 3.4 billion YouTube streams from its music video as well as gaining a Brit Award nomination and a Norwegian Grammy. He went on to release hit after hit after hit, dominating a variety of countries in the mid-late ’10s, and going on to collaborate with big and rising artists including Ava Max, Noah Cyrus, Sia, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, and Sofia Carson. In 2018, he dropped his debut album “Different World”, following that up in 2021 with his sophomore album “World of Walker”, dropped his third studio album “Walkerverse Pt. I & II” in 2022, and he is now approaching a total of 5 billion streams on Spotify, alone. He has performed all over the world, gracing festivals such as Tomorrowland and Coachella, and headlined over 700 shows. He’s continued to collaborate with a variety of singer-songwriters all over the world, we expect he’ll have another worldwide hit on his hands very soon.
