    Alison Krauss to Release First Solo Album in 17 Years

    Today is an extremely exciting day for music fans around the world; Country music sensation and worldwide superstar Alison Krauss is back with a brand new single and details of her first solo album in 17 long years.

    The lead track of the upcoming LP which is due for release on the 3rd of March this year, is the wonderful ‘Losing You‘, which is out right now.

    The multi-Grammy award winning Alison Krauss’ highly anticipated comeback album will feature 10 classic songs which have been carefully selected with renowned producer Buddy Cannon “Buddy really makes me want to do a good job” Alison says, who has worked with superstars including; Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn and Merle Haggard, panning different eras and musical genres original and previously recorded by superstar artists including: Willie Nelson,The Osborne Brothers, Glen Campbell, Brenda Lee, Ray Charles and many more.

    Her previous studio albums and collaborations with Union Station and artists including Robert Plant on the acclaimed ‘Raising Sand’ back in 2007 and the cult soundtrack to O Brother, Where Art Thou? have without doubt inspired countless new Americana/Bluegrass artists over the years and helped spotlight the Americana scene in the USA which continues to thrive.

    Speaking about ‘Windy City’ Alison Krauss, says: “It’s (the album) almost like you didn’t know it was sad,because it doesn’t sound weak. It doesn’t have a pitiful part to it, where so many sad songs do. But these don’t. And I love that about it. I love that there’s strength underneath there. That whatever those stories are, they didn’t destroy. That that person made it right through it. I love that.”
