Four year ago today, the beautiful and talented, Amy Winehouse passed away leaving behind a mighty powerful musical legacy.
Not only did she set the stage for other UK musical artists to come into the spotlight, such as Adele and Duffy, but helped revitalize the soul and jazz genre back into mainstream radio.
Currently, her second studio album, Back to Black has climbed up the iTunes chart worldwide.
Not only is it in the top 50 in countries like the United Kingdom, Mexico and Spain but also the United States at #32. Back to Black also has Canada on the block at #14.
In addition the film “Amy”, a biography of Amy Winehouse presenting an intimate portrait of her life and career, has been received with very positive reviews. It currently has a 97% score from Rotten Tomatoes and stands at 85% on Metacritic.
