After just announcing Taylor Swift as the opener for the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, NBC and Dick Clark Productions has announced another huge name to its lineup: Ariana Grande. But there is a catch. The star won’t actually be performing live in Las Vegas, instead, Grande will be partnering with T-Mobile for a special performance of her hit single, “7 Rings.” The performance will come from one of Grande’s sold-out tour stops during her Sweetener world tour.

With the tour being over a month in, Grande has performed in U.S. cities such as Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. She has also recently performed in Canada, with the most recent stops being in Edmonton and Vancouver. During the singer’s Vancouver concert on April 28th, fans noticed that the pink prop car used for her “7 Rings” set had “BBMAs” written on the side, teasing that this will be the performance fans will get to see on television.

The Billboard Music Awards will take place in Las Vegas on May 1st with singer Kelly Clarkson returning as the show’s host. Ariana Grande joins a star-studded lineup of performers, including the Jonas Brothers, who will perform their first award show in over a decade, as well as Taylor Swift, who will be opening the show with her new single, “ME!,” with Brendon Urie. Other performers include BTS with Halsey, Khalid, Panic! at the Disco, Madonna with Maluma, Lauren Daigle, Ciara, Paula Abdul, Dan + Shay, and Kelly Clarkson. Sam Smith and Normani were also scheduled to perform their collaboration, “Dancing With a Stranger,” but due to Smith straining his voice, the two will no longer be performing.
