With the release of her fifth studio album this Friday, Ariana Grande has revealed to a fan on Twitter what her next single is going to be.
When asked by a fan what’s the next single, the singer confirmed in a tweet that her new single will be ‘break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored’. It is scheduled to be the third single from her new album, ‘thank u, next’, following the release of the title track and ‘7 rings’, which is currently number 1 in both the US and the UK.
The song is produced by longtime collaborators Max Martin and Savan Kotecha, who are responsible for some of Ariana’s biggest hits, including ‘Problem’, ‘Side To Side’, and ‘no tears left to cry’. The song has also been written by songwriter and reality star Kandi Burruss, who is currently taking part in the second season of the US version of Celebrity Big Brother.
As well as that, the song is said to sample ‘It Makes Me Ill’, a track from boyband NSYNC’s album ‘No Strings Attached’. A very interesting sample to say the least.
Ariana previously teased fans with a snippet of a song from her new album on her ‘Sweetener’ Instagram account, with many fans believing this to be from ‘break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored’.
