Everyone’s heard the phrase, “Giving is better than getting.” Most people boast themselves to be the ones who live by that motto during the holiday season, but the true question is: how many actually follow through with it? Early on Friday afternoon, Ariana Grande demonstrated the true meaning of Christmas spirit.
Good Shepherd Shelter in Los Angeles, CA is a safe house for women and children who are seeking refuge from an abusive home. Attempting to cheer up the victims with Christmas close approaching, Grande made a visit to the shelter and delivered Christmas presents to the community.
Along with the help of volunteers, the Christmas & Chill EP singer handed out personally purchased gifts to the kids and mothers, many of which were delighted to meet the pop star and receive her gifts. Ariana spent most of the day at the shelter, playing with the children and making conversation with the mothers.
Humbly, Ariana did not mention her generous outing until after most of her update accounts had found photos taken with fans as posted above. Later, she tweeted:
“@ArianaGrande: had the best time visiting @gsshelter today. the kids, volunteers, & mommies are all amazing! please show them love”
The shelter’s website, as linked below, has a donation goal of $400,000 by Christmas Day to help provide an even safer environment for those in need of healing. If you are interested in supporting the cause and helping the foundation reach its goal by Christmas Day, use the link below to be redirected to the Good Shepherd Shelter website. There you will not only find how to donate, but information about their cause and what they do. This Christmas, like Ariana Grande, you can give hope to those who have been troubled by domestic violence, and truly show the meaning of Giving is receiving.
