Ariana Grande takes us back in time to the 1950s with her glamorous performance of ‘Dangerous Woman’ at the MTV Movie Awards.
Ariana shows a classic movie vibe which fits with the award show. Dressed in a long satin pink gown, fur shall and showing that diamonds are truly a girl’s best friend (we couldn’t help ourselves!) she was definitely Marilyn Munro esque. This set the mood for her simple and soulful rendition of ‘Dangerous Woman’. Her voice, yet again, never fails to impress us as she continually serves vocals throughout the entire song.
Alongside her on the piano is none other than musical composer Jason Robert Brown. He produced the first musical Ariana was in “13: The Musical” . The two also performed together in a surprise show recently. We would love to see more from them as they clearly work well together. This allows us to hear Ariana’s stripped back classical tone to her voice.
Overall the entire theatrical setup along with her stage presence and voice created a simply breathtaking performance. She definitely needs to add this vibe to her tour, so we can all witness her jazzy side!
We are counting down the days to May 20th for the release of her third studio album. Ariana will grace our ears with perfection! Before that, we can look forward to the second music video visual for ‘Dangerous Woman’. We will see a cinematic and weird side to Ariana dressed as a superwoman latex bunny which she has already sported on the cover of her album.
