Not so long ago we introduced you to Canadian pop-rock band Arkells. Last single People’s Champ sung of hope and optimism finding people’s champs in the most unlikely of times and places. They’ve now announced a UK and German headline tour taking place across November.
Arkells will be starting off in Cologne on 16th November before playing shows in Berlin and Hamburg before heading to UK shores. UK dates include Manchester, London, Glasgow, Leeds and Brighton alongside others.
Having recently finished a support run with Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls frontman Max Kerman explains “The tour in the UK was insane every night. It was an amazing opportunity to play cities we’d never been to before, and we can’t wait to rekindle the relationship with those crowds.”.
They are continuing to make waves in their hometown of Hamilton with their The Rally festival bringing in 24,000 fans and the largest outdoor show the city had seen since 1975. Keeping in touch with their political side they headlined the Canada Day concert in Ottawa not straying from sharing their views on the United States current president… Arkells aren’t afraid to speak out on what they believe but also to support charities such as REFUGE, Hamilton Centre for Newcomer Health by partnering with them and raising over $30 thousand of donations from The Rally.
A band who sound great and do good things? The perfect musical recipe. Find out more about Arkells here.
