Cimorelli first gained popularity after the oldest five girls of the family formed a band and started posting covers of popular songs on YouTube in 2007. In 2008 the girls then released their first ever EP Hello There which is also know as Cimorelli. All the songs on the EP were written by Lauren and Christina, and all of the vocal harmonies were arranged by Lisa.
Soon after the release of their EP, their younger sister Dani joined the band in 2010. They soon signed with Universal and released their CimFam EP. Since then, the band have continued to post covers on YouTube and release original songs. The girls released their debut Album titled Up at Night on May 17th 2016, which debuted at No. 24 on the Top Country Albums chart and sold 1,500 copies in the first week in the U.S. They also recently announced their second album Alive which is now available for pre order via PledgeMusic.
The band have become a huge success, gaining over 3 million subscribers on YouTube and going on multiple headlining tours. The girls are currently touring Europe on their Up at Night Tour.
