Jana first made her mark in the music industry after her appearance on the first season of Macedonian Idol in 2011. Jana went on to finish fifth (the highest placed female contestant of that year). As well as this, she went on to participate in Skopje Fest (one of the biggest musical events in Macedonia) with the song ‘Bi bila tvoja’. In addition to this, she has also collaborated with Miki Sekulovski and Mizar.
In November 2016, the Macedonian broadcaster MKRTV (Macedonian Radio Television) announced that Jana had been selected to represent Macedonia at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. She will, therefore, be heading off to Kyiv in May to perform the song ‘Dance Alone’. The song was written by Bobi-Leon Milanov, Alex Omar, Joacim Perrson and Florence A.
