Former JLS star Aston Merrygold has announcedthat he is engaged to his long term partner, Sarah Richards.
Taking to Instagram, Aston shared a picture of the couple standing in a heart made out of petals. With Sarah showcasing her beautiful ring, Aston captioned the picture as: “Allow me to introduce you all to my fiancée” followed by a series of hashtags including #TheMerrygolds #shesaidyes #wifey and #mummydaddyandbabymerrygold.
Friends, family and fans quickly took to social media to congratulate the pair including Aston’s former bandmates Marvin Humes, JB Gill and Oritsé Williams, as well as his Strictly Come Dancing partner Janette Manrara.
This is Aston and Sarah’s second exciting announcement in a matter of months. Back in September, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together.
2017 has been a busy year for Aston outside of his personal life too. The singer competed on the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing with Janette. However, he was the subject of one of the biggest elimination shockers in Strictly history after being voted out in week seven, losing out to The Saturdays’ Mollie King and partner AJ Pritchard.
Aston is also expected to have an exciting 2018. In addition to welcoming his new bundle of joy, he will be heading out on a UK tour in April.
