Great Scott! Back to the Future the Musical will be heading out on its first UK tour next year, opening in Bristol in October 2026.

Initial tour dates also include stops at Edinburgh, Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Sunderland, and Southampton, with additional dates to follow. Tickets for the first six dates go on sale on Wednesday.

Back to the Future the Musical UK Tour Dates

    October 8 2026 – November 21 2026 – Bristol Hippodrome
    December 2 2026 – January 2 2027 – Edinburgh Playhouse
    January 12 2027 – February 6 2027 – Liverpool Empire Theatre
    February 9 2027 – February 27 2027 – Milton Keynes Theatre
    April 13 2027 – May 8 2027 – Sunderland Empire Theatre
    June 8 2027 – July 3 2027 – Southampton Mayflower Theatre

Based on the 1985 movie, the production follows Marty McFly as he travels back to 1955 in a time machine built by Doc Brown, where he must ensure his parents fall in love to preserve his own existence. Written by Bob Gale, the stage adaptation features new music and lyrics by Emmy and Grammy Award winner Alan Silvestri and six-time Grammy winner Glen Ballard, alongside classics from the film such as ‘The Power of Love’ and ‘Johnny B Goode.’

Lead producer Colin Ingram, working alongside Back to the Future creators Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, said: “I’m so delighted that the DeLorean will be travelling 88 mph to all the main theatre cities in the UK so that we can bring this heartfelt spectacle of a show to those who haven’t seen it in the West End or want to see it again. Great Scott! Audiences are going to have such a fun and thrilling ride in a show which will tour in all its glory and be one of the biggest sets to come out on the road.”

The musical continues its West End at the Adelphi Theatre, where it is entering its fifth year, having broken box office records and entertained more than two million people since its 2021 premiere.
