Since changing her Twitter and Instagram feed to pure white with her last tweet being, “YOU CAN FIND ME IN THE KINGDOM…” after her Madison Square Garden show in New York City, Halsey finally took to Twitter again to announce something.
As seen below, Halsey shared with us that Badlands is now platinum in the USA!

The Chainsmokers and Halsey received their first ever UK number one with “Closer” and now this? It really looks like luck is on her side this month!
“Ghost” was originally Halsey’s first single and was self-released on iTunes in January of 2014, shared by the only thing she had, her fans. When the song first came out it was “just another piece of content” to her.
Then in 2015 she realized what she had was special. She told the NYTimes, “People who were quiet before would just silently ‘like’ my pictures had something to engage with.”
Thanks to her fans and all the engagement, the track exploded online and she got noticed by five notable labels within days. By late April, “Ghost” was playing on SiriusXM’s Hits 1 station. On that station is where “Ghost” was played alongside songs by stars like Lady Gaga and Pharrell Williams.
