With the genre of electronic pop music slowly taking over the world, Beauty In The Breakdown is here to join in on all the hype, in their own unique way. So get ready! This group from Los Angeles is here to capture your attention with their newest single “Thinkin’ Bout You.”
Beauty In The Breakdown’s lead vocalist, Chasity Ashley, has been blessed to perform with some of the biggest names in music. She played drums and percussion for artists like Duran Duran, Cypress Hill, Tom Morello, and Alice In Chains. And she even played at Vans Warped Tour and opened for Mötley Crüe and Aerosmith!
Her musical skills combined with Ian Alexander, Tim “Sonix” Rouse, and Alexandria Reyes, are what truly makes the band’s music come to life.
What’s interesting about “Thinkin’ Bout You” is that the Inspiration for the song struck Ashley in the form of a dream. In that dream, she was imagining finding the love of her life, then having them suddenly leave and never come back. I mean, can you imagine what that would feel like? Do you forgive the person if you see them again? Do you stay miserable?
All of those questions are answered while listening to “Thinkin’ Bout You.” With lyrics like “I’m better off without it,” and “I got this feeling / You never were the one,” Ashley doesn’t let heartbreak take over. Instead, she sees it as a lesson learned, and a way to grow as a person. She visually shows this in the video as well, as she fights off the darkness that comes with such a tragic loss of love.
