Britain’s Got Talent has only been back on our TV screens for two episodes, but it has certainly not disappointed, featuring acts such as impressionists, singers, dancers and so much more. The judging panel is made up of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams, with Ant and Dec as presenters. With an audience of 9.2 million viewers, the nation was no doubt left impressed by the amount of talent within Britain!
Here at CelebMix, we review our five favourite auditions from the second show of the series.
1. Just Us (Dance Group)
‘Just Us’ is a dance group made up of five teenage girls who have the same collective passion – dance. Lead member Julia has a debilitating condition called scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and is currently awaiting surgery, which means she is unable to dance after surgery. Judge Alesha was so impressed with the girls’ performance that she chose them as her Golden Buzzer act – meaning they have a place in the Live Semi-Finals!
2. Reuben Gray (Singer-Songwriter)
16 year old singer-songwriter Reuben Gray impressed Judges with his original song titled ‘Lifeline.’ The song was written about his girlfriend who he didn’t treat right, referring to it as an ‘apology to her.’ All four of the Judges were really impressed with his performance and he got a standing ovation from not only the Judges but also the audience. David referred to him as a ‘talented young man’ and Alesha admired his bravery for sharing such a personal song.
3. Gao Lin and Liu Xin (Acrobatics)
Husband and wife duo Gao Lin and Liu Xin amazed Judges with their acrobatic performance. The couple travelled from Beijing. Judge Amanda Holden deemed their performance as ‘absolutely extraordinary.’ The duo are currently facing controversy regarding prior involvement in other TV talent shows.
4. QT Crew (Dance Group)
The QT Crew is a dance group made up of young girls ranging from the ages of 6 to 10. Asked what they would do with the money if they won the show, they said that they would ‘book a holiday, with no Mums or Dads.’ Their performance was incredible, and the Judges and audience loved it just as much as we did!
5. Jonny Awsum (Comedian)
Comedian Jonny Awsum’s audition was hilarious, and he even managed to get presenters Ant and Dec involved in his act! His musical performance had everyone laughing along, and he received a standing ovation from all four Judges and the audience.
