The Society of London Theatre has announced that musical theatre stars Beverley Knight and Billy Porter will co-host the 2025 Olivier Awards.
Set to take place at the Royal Albert Hall Sunday, 6 April 2025, the annual ceremony will once again honour the best of British theatre, celebrating outstanding achievements in London’s West End and other leading non-commercial theatres.
Highlights from the show will be broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX on the evening of the event.
Knight said she was delighted to be hosting, adding: “I’m even more excited to be hosting alongside Billy Porter who is a phenomenal talent. It is an honour to be asked to hold the reins of such an important and prestigious night of celebrating theatre.”
With Porter addeding: “I am thrilled and honoured to host the Olivier Awards alongside the fantastic Beverley Knight. I’m so grateful for the warm welcome from the London theatre community, and am looking forward to a magnificent evening!”
Established in 1976 and named after the renowned actor Sir Laurence Olivier in 1984, the Olivier Awards are considered the highest accolade in British theatre, akin to the BAFTA Awards for film and television.
