Yesterday there was another victory for the LGBT community; Beyoncé has now joined the whole host of celebrities throwing their weight behind highlighting how wrong the legislation in North Carolina against gay and transgender people is.
Queen Bey, who has just released her wildly popular visual album Lemonade, took to her website while on her Formation World Tour in Raleigh, N.C.
To the delight of everyone in the Beyhive from the South, she explained,
“North Carolina has been drawing the attention of the masses for new legislation that blocks cities and local governments from passing anti-discrimination measures that could protect gay and transgender people. As The Formation World Tour makes its stop in the Tar Heel state in the midst of such a controversial time, we think it is important for us to bring attention to those who are committed to being good and carrying on the message of equality in this core of controversy.”
Absolutely. We love you, Bey!
