Serving as one of three new songs set to feature on on the celebratory deluxe edition of his hugely successful debut album ‘Abington Grove’ (which hit No.10 on the Official UK Charts back in February) the uptempo track – co-written with Danny LaFrombé and George Glew – sees Lockett explore enduring themes of love and loss, as he aims to make peace with the fact that he, and his partner appear destined to walk different paths in life.

“’Finish Line’ is on the poppier side of what I do but I think it still has a lot of heart,” Billy says of the single via a press release. “It’s always been a dream of mine to create something people can dance to while crying about their Ex. The whole process of this song felt so easy and simple, I’ve found that’s normally a really good sign that you’ve got something special when everything just clicks into place. I have a feeling this could be the song I’ve always been looking for.”
