BLACKPINK is coming to North America! The group’s company, YG Entertainment, released a list of North American tour dates just hours ahead of their appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
The list of dates includes six cities: Los Angeles, Chicago, Hamilton, Newark, Atlanta, and Fort Worth. What’s impressive about this lineup is that all the venues are arenas with capacities ranging from 13,000 to 19,500.
The arena tour shows just how popular BLACKPINK is becoming internationally. The group debuted in 2016 and has been releasing hit after hit, such as “Boombayah,” “As If It’s Your Last,” and most recently, “DDU-DU-DDU-DU.” The group also collaborated with British singer Dua Lipa for “Kiss and Makeup.”
The tour announcement comes as the four-piece, made up of members Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie, and Rosé, have been in the United States for the past few days. The night before the 2019 Grammy Awards, the girls made their U.S. performance debut at Universal Music Group’s pre-Grammy showcase titled, “Music Is Universal.”
They are also scheduled for performances on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Monday, February 11th, Good Morning America on Tuesday, February 12th, and Strahan & Sara on Friday, February 15th.
Their U.S. performances don’t stop there! The girls are also set to perform at the Coachella music festival in April. For a list of the group’s upcoming shows and ticket information, click here.
2019 is going to be big for BLACKPINK, we know it!
